This is a hacked version of the "sd" disk driver for Solaris 2.4 (sparc). This driver supports: Sector sizes from 512 Bytes up to 8k WORM drives OPTICAL MEMORY drives (MO and phase change) If you want to use a CD-recorder or a CD-drive that supports only 2048 Bytes sector size as CD-ROM drive, do the following: Make a dierectory /etc/kernel make a directoey /etc/kernel/drv copy sd and sd.conf from this this distribution to your local /etc/kernel/drv copy /etc/system to /etc/system.ok add a line: moddir: /etc/kernel /kernel /usr/kernel to /etc/system reboot. If you want to use this driver with Solaris 2.5, you need a different entry in /etc/system. On a Sparstation 20 this will be: /etc/kernel /platform/SUNW,SPARCstation-20/kernel /kernel /usr/kernel or /etc/kernel /platform/sun4m/kernel /kernel /usr/kernel BEWAE: If you make mistakes, you will probably not be able to reboot. If you have problems, you must reboot with the -a flag and answer the questions ...[/etc/system]...? with /etc/system.ok all other questions should be answered with .
