.TH mathfig 1 "Jul 1 1992" "Geometry Center" .SH NAME mathfig \- process Mathematica files for inclusion in LaTeX documents .SH SYNOPSIS mathfig [ -d directory ] [ -i initfile ] files .SH DESCRIPTION .PP Mathfig reads one or more Mathematica source files, invokes Mathematica on them, and creates PostScript output, filtering out labels and putting them in a separate file. .PP Any number of files can be given. Their names are expected to end with .m, and the output files are given the same names with the .m replaced by .ps and .lab. These files can then be included in a LaTeX document using the style file geompsfi.sty (see below). .PP Mathfig uses the following auxiliary programs: .TP geomfix A shell script that compresses the .ps file produced by Mathematica and tacks a header on to it (similar to psfix). .TP mathlabels A perl script that filters out the labels. .SH OPTIONS .TP -d directory File names are interpreted relative to the specified directory. .TP -i initfile The specified initial file is read before each of the remaining input files. .SH SEE ALSO "Mathematica Figures in LaTeX using mathfig", by Silvio Levy, available from The Geometry Center (and distributed with mathfig in the file "mathfigman.tex"). This document describes this program in more detail, and also the style file geompsfi.sty, needed for inclusion of mathfig's output files in your LaTeX document. .SH AUTHOR .nf Silvio Levy The Geometry Center 1300 South Second Street Minneapolis, MN 55454 email: levy@geom.umn.edu .fi
