\title{RIDT 91}
The second international workshop on raster imaging and digital typography
will be held in Boston on October 15--16, 1991. The workshop is sponsored by
the University of Massachusetts at Boston, and the IEEE Computer Society. The
day before the conference there will be two concurrent one-day tutorials: one
on type design and one on type
rasterization.

Submissions on the following topics
are welcomed:

\bi fast rasterization hardware
\bi applications of human vision science to type design
\bi character generation and recognition
\bi page description languages
\bi anti-aliasing

\bi rasterization algorithms
